1. Vergangene Ereignisse und Pressemitteilungen

In den letzten Monaten, seit unserem letzten Newsletter im Juli, ist folgendes passiert:

  • 25/07/2022 & 17/11/2022 – Treffen mit Zeremonienmeistern die in Luxemburg ihre Dienste freiberuflich anbieten zwecks Zusammenarbeit. Wir werden eine Liste von Anbietern von „freien Zeremonien“ auf unserer Webseite publizieren, welche es Interessierten erlauben wird, direkt zu sehen wer welche Dienste anbietet und direkt Kontakt mit den Dienstleistern aufzunehmen. Wir arbeiten noch daran, die Liste dürfte Anfang 2023 online sein.
  • 27/07/2022 – Offener Brief an die Luxemburger EU-Parlamentarier*innen und den Luxemburger EU-Kommissar Nicolas Schmit bezüglich der Berücksichtigung der Erfahrungen nicht-religiöser Menschen in den Leitlinien der Asylagentur der Europäischen Union. Wir waren dem Aufruf von unserem Dachverband Humanists International gefolgt in dieser Sache politischen Druck aufzubauen, um dafür zu sorgen, dass Atheistinnen und Atheisten, welche in ihren Herkunftsländern für ihren Nicht-Glauben verfolgt werden, die gleiche Beachtung finden wie Menschen die einer minoritären Religionsgemeinschaft angehören.   • 27/09/2022 – Spende von 1000€ an die Kampagne „ProtectHumanistsAtRisk" von Humanists International:
    https://humanists.international/2022/09/aha-luxembourg-donates-e1000-to-help-protect-humanists-at-risk-for-the-third-year-running/. Wir wollen mit dieser Spende dazu beitragen, Menschen zu schützen, die um ihr Leben fürchten, wenn sie ihre grundlegenden Menschenrechte wahrnehmen.
  • 16/11/2022 – Teilnahme am Onlinetreffen von Humanists International betreffend der Vorbereitung eines Treffens von Vertretern der Nicht-Religiösen Menschen mit der Europäischen Kommission welches am 2. Dezember 2022 stattfand. Das Treffen wurde von Kommissar Margaritis Schinas gemäß Artikel 17 des Vertrags über die Arbeitsweise der Europäischen Union organisiert: Dialog mit Kirchen, religiösen Vereinigungen und weltanschaulichen Gemeinschaften. Dieser Artikel sieht eine offene und transparente Zusammenarbeit zwischen den EU-Institutionen und religiösen und nicht-religiösen Organisationen vor. Diesmal ging es bei dem Treffen um die Auswirkungen des Krieges in der Ukraine auf die "Europäische Lebensweise". Ziel des Treffens war es, die europäischen Werte und die darauf basierende Zukunft der EU zu diskutieren.
  • 17/11/2022 – Café Humaniste zum Thema: „De Stoiker hier Uleedung zu engem gudde Liewen“ im Café Littéraire Le Bovary. Zu Beginn hat Vorstandsmitglied Mireille Cruchten allen Anwesenden kurz zusammengefasst, was sie aus dem Buch von William B. Irvine „Anleitung zum guten Leben: Wie Sie die alte Kunst des Stoizismus für Ihr Leben nutzen“ zurückbehalten hat. Daraufhin haben wir lebhaft diskutiert was wir, als Humanisten, Atheisten und Agnostiker, aus dieser Lebensphilosophie für unser heutiges Leben ziehen können. Es war jedenfalls ein sehr netter Abend für alle Beteiligten.

  • 18/12/2022 – Teilnahme an der außerordentlichen Generalversammlung der European Humanist Federation, unserem europäischen Dachverband betreffend die Auflösung des Vereins und der Überführung der Aktivitäten in das Europäische Forum innerhalb unseres internationalen Dachverbandes Humanists International. Die Auflösung wurde einstimmig beschlossen. Wir freuen uns auf die weitere Zusammenarbeit mit unseren europäischen Freundinnen und Freunden im neuen Kontext.

  • 21/12/2022 – Webinar zum Thema „Faszinatioun Stärenhimmel“ mit Manuel Huss, Gründungsmitglied von AHA Lëtzebuerg und Amateur-Astrofotograf. Manuel hat uns faszinierende Einblick gegeben in sein Hobby „Sterne und Planeten fotografieren“ und erläutert was der Blick in den Sternenhimmel für ihn als atheistischen Humanisten bedeutet. 2. Kommende Veranstaltungen und Aktionen

Für die kommenden Wochen und Monate planen wir folgende Veranstaltungen und Aktionen:

  • Am 20. Mai 2023 feiern wir ab 18:00 Uhr das 13-jährige Bestehen unseres Vereins im Drescher Haus in Dommeldange. Wir organisieren für diesen Tag eine Jubiläumsfeier, auf die Sie sich bereits jetzt freuen dürfen. Weitere Details schicken wir in einer separaten Einladung. Notieren Sie sich bereits jetzt diesen Termin in ihrer Agenda!
  • Ausarbeiten von Brochüren zu den Themen “Humanistische Hochzeitsfeiern” und “Humanistische Trauerfeiern”. Wer Lust hat mitzuwirken, soll sich gerne bei uns melden: Diese E-Mail-Adresse ist vor Spambots geschützt! Zur Anzeige muss JavaScript eingeschaltet sein.
  • Wir werden natürlich weiterhin unsere „neue“ Radiosendung auf Radio ARA „Iwwer Gott an d’Welt“ einmal pro Monat produzieren und ausstrahlen.
  • Darüber hinaus planen wir eine öffentliche Konferenz mit Professor Josée Junça de Morais zum Thema „Alphabetisierung und Demokratie“. Voraussichtlich soll diese im März 2023 stattfinden. Weitere Details werden wir so bald wie möglich bekanntgeben.

4. Radio Sendung „Iwwer Gott an d’Welt“ auf Radio ARA

Seit dem 17. Mai 2022 hat AHA Lëtzebuerg eine Radiosendung auf Radio ARA, die jeden 3. Dienstag im Monat ausgestrahlt wird. In dieser Sendung wird "Iwwer Gott an d’Welt" geredet. Lex und Bob beleuchten verschieden Themen durch die Brille des weltlichen Humanismus. Hier eine Liste der letzten Episoden:

1. Événements passés et communiqués de presse

Voici ce qui s'est passé au cours des derniers mois, depuis notre dernière newsletter en juillet:

  • 25/07/2022 & 17/11/2022 - Rencontre avec des maîtres de cérémonie offrant leurs services en freelance au Luxembourg en vue d'une collaboration. Nous allons publier une liste de prestataires de "cérémonies libres" sur notre site web, ce qui permettra aux personnes intéressées de voir directement qui offre quels services et de prendre directement contact avec les prestataires de services. Nous y travaillons encore, la liste devrait être en ligne début 2023.
  • 27/07/2022 - Lettre ouverte aux parlementaires européens luxembourgeois et au commissaire européen luxembourgeois Nicolas Schmit concernant la prise en compte des expériences des personnes non religieuses dans les lignes directrices de l'Agence de l'Union européenne pour l'asile. Nous avons répondu à l'appel de notre organisation-mère Humanists International pour faire pression politiquement dans ce dossier, afin de garantir que les athées qui sont persécutés dans leur pays d'origine pour leur non-croyance reçoivent la même considération que les personnes appartenant à une communauté religieuse minoritaire.   • 27/09/2022 - Don de 1000€ à la campagne "ProtectHumanistsAtRisk" de Humanists International :
    https://humanists.international/2022/09/aha-luxembourg-donates-e1000-to-help-protect-humanists-at-risk-for-the-third-year-running/. Avec ce don, nous voulons contribuer à protéger les personnes qui craignent pour leur vie lorsqu'elles exercent leurs droits humains fondamentaux.
  • 16/11/2022 - Participation à la réunion en ligne de Humanists International concernant la préparation d'une réunion de représentants des personnes non religieuses avec la Commission européenne, qui a eu lieu le 2 décembre 2022. La réunion a été organisée par le commissaire Margaritis Schinas, conformément à l'article 17 du traité sur le fonctionnement de l'Union européenne : Dialogue avec les églises, les associations religieuses et les organisations non confessionnelles. Cet article prévoit une coopération ouverte et transparente entre les institutions européennes et les organisations religieuses et non religieuses. Cette fois-ci, la rencontre a porté sur l'impact de la guerre en Ukraine sur le "mode de vie européen". L'objectif de la rencontre était de discuter des valeurs européennes et de l'avenir de l'UE basé sur ces valeurs.
  • 17/11/2022 - Café Humaniste sur le thème : "De Stoiker hier Uleedung zu engem gudde Liewen" au Café Littéraire Le Bovary. Pour commencer, Mireille Cruchten, membre du comité, a brièvement résumé ce qu'elle avait lu dans le livre de William B. Irvine "Mode d'emploi de la vie bonne : Comment utiliser l'art ancien du stoïcisme dans votre vie". Nous avons ensuite discuté vivement de ce que nous, humanistes, athées et agnostiques, pouvons tirer de cette philosophie de vie pour notre vie actuelle. Ce fut en tout cas une soirée très agréable pour tous les participants.

  • 18/12/2022 - Participation à l'assemblée générale extraordinaire de la European Humanist Federation, notre organisation-mère européenne, concernant la dissolution de l'association et le transfert des activités au Forum Européen au sein de notre organisation-mère internationale Humanists International. La dissolution a été décidée à l'unanimité. Nous nous réjouissons de poursuivre notre collaboration avec nos amies et amis européens dans ce nouveau contexte.

  • 21/12/2022 - Webinaire sur le thème "Faszinatioun Stärenhimmel" avec Manuel Huss, membre fondateur de AHA Lëtzebuerg et astrophotographe amateur. Manuel nous a donné un aperçu fascinant de son hobby "photographier les étoiles et les planètes" et a expliqué ce que le regard dans le ciel étoilé signifie pour lui en tant qu'humaniste athée. 2. Événements et actions à venir

Pour les semaines et mois à venir, nous prévoyons les événements et actions suivants :

  • Le 20 mai 2023, nous fêterons les 13 ans d'existence de notre association à partir de 18h00 à la maison Drescher à Dommeldange. Nous organisons pour ce jour-là une fête d'anniversaire dont vous pouvez d'ores et déjà vous réjouir. Nous vous enverrons plus de détails dans une invitation séparée. Notez d'ores et déjà cette date dans votre agenda!
  • Elaboration de brochures sur les thèmes "Célébrations humanistes de mariage" et "Célébrations humanistes de funérailles". Si vous avez envie d'y participer, n'hésitez pas à nous contacter : Diese E-Mail-Adresse ist vor Spambots geschützt! Zur Anzeige muss JavaScript eingeschaltet sein.
  • Nous continuerons bien sûr à produire et à diffuser notre "nouvelle" émission de radio sur Radio ARA "Iwwer Gott an d'Welt" une fois par mois.
  • En outre, nous prévoyons d'organiser une conférence publique avec le professeur Josée Junça de Morais sur le thème "Alphabétisation et démocratie". Elle devrait avoir lieu en mars 2023. Nous vous donnerons plus de détails dès que possible.

1. Past events and press releases

In the last few months, since our last newsletter in July, the following has happened:
  • 25/07/2022 & 17/11/2022 - Meeting with masters of ceremonies offering their services on a freelance basis in Luxembourg for the purpose of collaboration. We will publish a list of providers of "free ceremonies" on our website, which will allow interested people to see directly who offers which services and to contact the service providers directly. We are still working on this, the list should be online in early 2023.
  • 27/07/2022 - Open letter to the Luxembourg MEPs and the Luxembourg EU Commissioner Nicolas Schmit regarding the consideration of the experiences of non-religious people in the guidelines of the European Union Asylum Agency. We followed the call of our umbrella organisation Humanists International to build political pressure to ensure that atheists who are persecuted in their countries of origin for their non-belief receive the same consideration as people belonging to a minoritarian religious community.   • 27/09/2022 - Donation of 1000€ to the campaign "ProtectHumanistsAtRisk" of Humanists International:
    https://humanists.international/2022/09/aha-luxembourg-donates-e1000-to-help-protect-humanists-at-risk-for-the-third-year-running/. We want this donation to help protect people who fear for their lives as they exercise their basic human rights.
  • 16/11/2022 - Participation in the online meeting of Humanists International regarding the preparation of a meeting of representatives of non-religious people with the European Commission which took place on 2 December 2022. The meeting was organised by Commissioner Margaritis Schinas in accordance with Article 17 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union: Dialogue with Churches, Religious Associations and Non-Confessional Organisations. This article provides for open and transparent cooperation between the EU institutions and religious and non-religious organisations. This time the meeting was about the impact of the war in Ukraine on the "European way of life". The aim of the meeting was to discuss European values and the future of the EU based on them.
  • 17/11/2022 - Café Humaniste on the topic: "De Stoiker hier Uleedung zu engem gudde Liewen" at Café Littéraire Le Bovary. At the beginning, board member Mireille Cruchten briefly summarised what she had learned from William B. Irvine's book “A Guide to the Good Life: The Ancient Art of Stoic Joy”. We then had a lively discussion about what we, as humanists, atheists and agnostics, can draw from this philosophy of life for our lives today. In any case, it was a very nice evening for all participants.

  • 18/12/2022 - Participation in the extraordinary general assembly of the European Humanist Federation, our European umbrella organisation concerning the dissolution of the association and the transfer of the activities to the European Forum within our international umbrella organisation Humanists International. The dissolution was decided unanimously. We look forward to continuing to work with our European friends in the new context.

  • 21/12/2022 - Webinar on "Faszinatioun Stärenhimmel" with Manuel Huss, founding member of AHA Lëtzebuerg and amateur astrophotographer. Manuel gave us a fascinating insight into his hobby "photographing stars and planets" and explained what looking at the starry sky means to him as an atheist humanist. 2. Upcoming events and actions

We are planning the following events and actions for the coming weeks and months:

  • On 20 May 2023, we will celebrate the 13th anniversary of our association at the Drescher Haus in Dommeldange from 18:00. We are organising an anniversary celebration for this day, which you can already look forward to. We will send you further details in a separate invitation. Please save this date in your agenda!

  • We will of course continue to produce and broadcast our "new" radio programme on Radio ARA "Iwwer Gott an d'Welt" once a month.
  • We are also planning a public conference with Professor Josée Junça de Morais on the topic of "Literacy and Democracy". This is expected to take place in March 2023. We will announce further details as soon as possible.

4. Radio programme “Iwwer Gott an d’Welt” on Radio ARA

Since 17 May 2022, AHA Lëtzebuerg has a radio programme on Radio ARA, which is broadcast every 3rd Tuesday of the month. In this programme they talk about "Iwwer Gott an d'Welt". Lex and Bob look at various topics through the lens of secular humanism. Here is a list of recent episodes:
