At a time when religious indoctrination of children is unthinkingly accepted, and in some places even increasing as new faith schools are founded, those of us who are not religious need, more than ever, to stand up and make our voices heard. Science, rationality and critical thinking must be strengthened, and their positive virtues extolled. As one of the most catholic countries in Europe this is especially necessary in Luxembourg, and I know that Laurent Schley and his multi-disciplinary board are well equipped to tackle the problem. I wish the new association and its board all the best, and a lot of courage over the coming years.
