Liebe Mitglieder und Freund·innen, seit unserem letzten Newsletter im April war viel los: Wir haben unseren 16. Geburtstag gefeiert, europäische Standards für humanistische Existenzbegleitung unterzeichnet, uns in Presse und Radio zu Wort gemeldet – und wir bereiten zwei große internationale Termine vor. Chères et chers membres et ami·e·s, depuis notre dernière newsletter en avril, beaucoup de choses se sont passées : nous avons fêté notre 16e anniversaire, signé les standards européens de l'accompagnement existentiel humaniste, pris la parole dans la presse et à la radio – et nous préparons deux grands rendez-vous internationaux. Happy Birthday: 16 Joer AHA Lëtzebuerg 🎂
DE Am 13. Mai – dem Gründungstag – wurde AHA Lëtzebuerg 16 Jahre alt. In einem persönlichen Brief an alle Mitglieder blickt unser Präsident Bob Reuter zurück: von der Bus-Kampagne «Net reliéis? Stéi dozou!» über die Trennung von Kirche und Staat bis zum heutigen Netzwerk von Zeremonienmeister·innen. Und er lädt ein, unsere Stimme weiter zu stärken.

DE Bei bestem Sommerwetter diskutierten wir im mikrokosmos im Park Edouard André über Hartmut Rosas Buch «Unverfügbarkeit»: Was geht verloren, wenn wir alles verfügbar, planbar und optimierbar machen wollen? Sekretärin Mireille Cruchten führte durch einen anregenden Abend.

DE Verwaltungsratsmitglied Christian Meyers und Präsident Bob Reuter feierten in Libramont mit rund 180 Gästen das 40-jährige Bestehen des Centre d'Action Laïque der belgischen Provinz Luxemburg, unserer Schwesterorganisation aus der Wallonie. Im Mittelpunkt: Laizität, Demokratie, «adelphité» und wachsame Bürgerschaft in Zeiten von Desinformation.
FR Christian Meyers, membre du conseil d'administration, et notre président Bob Reuter ont fêté à Libramont, avec quelque 180 invité·e·s, les 40 ans du Centre d'Action Laïque de la province de Luxembourg, notre organisation sœur de Wallonie. Au cœur de la soirée : laïcité, démocratie, adelphité et vigilance citoyenne face à la désinformation.

AHA ënnerschreift d'Humanist Existential Care Standards · 01.06.2026
DE AHA Lëtzebuerg hat die vom European Humanist Services Network entwickelten Humanist Existential Care Standards unterzeichnet: professionelle Maßstäbe für die weltliche Begleitung nicht-religiöser Menschen in existenziellen Lebensmomenten – kompetent, ethisch und mit Respekt vor der Autonomie jeder Person.
FR AHA Lëtzebuerg a signé les Humanist Existential Care Standards élaborés par le European Humanist Services Network : des références professionnelles pour l'accompagnement laïque des personnes non religieuses dans les moments existentiels de la vie – avec compétence, éthique et respect de l'autonomie de chacun·e.

European Policy Forum vun Humanists International · 03.06.2026
DE Präsident Bob Reuter nahm am Online-Treffen des European Policy Forum teil. Gute Nachrichten aus Straßburg und Brüssel: Die Resolution der Parlamentarischen Versammlung des Europarats zur Religions- und Weltanschauungsfreiheit schließt Humanist·innen nun ausdrücklich ein, und die EU-Sondergesandte Mary McGuinness will humanistische Organisationen künftig konsultieren. Weitere Themen: digitale Grundrechte und KI-Politik, ein europäischer «Humanist Activity Tracker» sowie ein strategisches Treffen im Februar 2027 in Brüssel.
FR Notre président Bob Reuter a participé à la réunion en ligne du European Policy Forum. Bonnes nouvelles de Strasbourg et de Bruxelles : la résolution de l'Assemblée parlementaire du Conseil de l'Europe sur la liberté de religion et de conviction inclut désormais explicitement les humanistes, et l'envoyée spéciale de l'UE Mary McGuinness s'est engagée à consulter les organisations humanistes. Autres sujets : droits numériques et politique de l'IA, un « Humanist Activity Tracker » européen et une rencontre stratégique à Bruxelles en février 2027.

Good news from Strasbourg and Brussels: the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly's resolution on freedom of religion or belief now explicitly includes humanists, and EU Special Envoy Mary McGuinness has committed to consulting humanist organisations. Also on the agenda: digital rights and AI policy, a European “Humanist Activity Tracker”, and a strategic meeting in Brussels in February 2027.

DE Im Lëtzebuerger Land antworteten wir auf Lukas Helds offenen Brief zur Reform der Feiertage: Wir begrüßen die überfällige Debatte über den konfessionell geprägten Feiertagskalender, unterstützen die Grundidee – und stellen kritische Fragen zur praktischen Umsetzung. Denn: Der Staat kann Zeit freihalten, aber keine Ergriffenheit verordnen.
FR Dans le Lëtzebuerger Land, nous avons répondu à la lettre ouverte de Lukas Held sur la réforme des jours fériés : nous saluons ce débat, attendu depuis longtemps, sur un calendrier d'origine confessionnelle, nous soutenons l'idée de base – et nous posons des questions critiques sur sa mise en œuvre. Car l'État peut libérer du temps, mais ne peut pas décréter l'émotion.

Bei der Generalversammlung von Humanists International am 9. August vertritt er AHA Lëtzebuerg. Ein Bericht folgt im nächsten Newsletter – und in der September-Folge von «Iwwer Gott an d'Welt» auf Radio ARA blicken wir auf den Kongress und die Generalversammlung 2026 zurück.

First Autumn School on Humanist Existential Care · 26.–30. Oktober 2026, Esch-sur-Alzette
DE Eine Premiere in Luxemburg: Vom 26. bis 30. Oktober sind wir Gastgeber der ersten Herbstschule zu humanistischer Existenzbegleitung, «Existential Care in Times of Global Crisis» – in der Jugendherberge Esch-sur-Alzette, organisiert von der EHSN-Arbeitsgruppe unter der Koordination von Dr. Lindsay de Wal. Dass diese Premiere in Luxemburg stattfindet, verdanken wir unserer Vizepräsidentin Tanja Frank: Sie hat die Veranstaltung nach Luxemburg geholt – und zuvor die Standards in diesem Bereich mitentwickelt. FR Une première au Luxembourg : du 26 au 30 octobre, nous accueillons la première école d'automne consacrée à l'accompagnement existentiel humaniste, « Existential Care in Times of Global Crisis » – à l'auberge de jeunesse d'Esch-sur-Alzette, organisée par le groupe de travail de l'EHSN sous la coordination du Dr Lindsay de Wal. Si cette première a lieu au Luxembourg, c'est grâce à notre vice-présidente Tanja Frank : elle a attiré l'événement au Luxembourg – après avoir contribué à l'élaboration des standards dans ce domaine. FR Notre organisation faîtière Humanists International fait un travail fantastique : elle met en réseau les associations humanistes nationales et soutient les humanistes du monde entier dont la situation est bien moins agréable que la nôtre au Luxembourg. Nous soutenons régulièrement sa campagne « Supporting Humanists at Risk » par un don. Jetez un coup d'œil à son site et voyez ce qui se passe dans le monde.
EN Our umbrella organisation Humanists International does a fantastic job of networking national humanist associations, but also of supporting humanists worldwide whose situation is far less pleasant than ours in Luxembourg.
